Magician. Mostly Behaved.

Matthew Brandt has been doing magic since 2002, call it 25 years if you're in show business, which he is, so we're going with 25.

Born and raised in Colorado, he got his start at Colorado State University, where his first gigs were sorority parties and bars, he wasn't always paid in cash. He cut his teeth the hard way, close up, in people's faces, for crowds that weren't there to see magic and had to be won over anyway. Turns out that's the best training there is.

Along the way he spent a summer as a featured magician at Casa Bonita, yes, that Casa Bonita, the one from South Park, the one Eric Cartman faked his own death to get into, and was once asked to leave the high dive platform, though he rarely discusses the details. He served two terms as president of the Mile High Magicians Society and spent five years as a cast member at a comedy murder mystery dinner theater, which is exactly as chaotic and fun as it sounds and probably explains a lot.

 From 2011 to 2025 he co-produced and co-starred in Sleight Impossible, a monthly magic show that ran for 14 years and holds the title of longest running ticketed magic show in Denver. He's made several TV appearances and been a featured performer at the Northglenn Magic Fest and the Denver Fringe Festival. 

These days he runs unProfessional Magic and performs at private parties, corporate events, and anywhere else looking for entertainment that's actually worth talking about the next morning.
